About
Tessie Nedelman is a jewelry designer, based in New York City. A California native and UC Berkeley grad., she has experienced several versions of life. After teaching first grade and working at Apple Computer, she started a family and moved to New York. Always one to explore art in the form of photography and photo editing, she expanded her artistic endeavors to include jewelry fabrication. Tessie’s work is inspired by elements from nature, finding home in repeating patterns as you can see in her cuff bracelets.
In addition to her work in jewelry design, Tessie is dedicated to and very supportive of the economic development and human rights aspect of the Rainforest Alliance. She has also served on the Grant Advisory Committee of the New York Women’s Foundation, and is a meeting facilitator for Parents In Action Inc. She most recently went back to teaching guided reading to first graders in a local charter school.
